This $25 Computer Runs 1080P Video And Fits On A Keychain!

I was pretty impressed when Apple announced that the iPad 2 would only be 0.34 inches thick.  That’s nothing though, Raspberry Pi is ready to launch a computer so small, it can hang from your key chain!  And the price?  Just $25 bucks!

The ultra portable PC packs a 700MHz ARM11 processor, 128MB of SDRAM and USB 2.0.  It has composite and HDMI outputs and can decode 1080P HD video!

Raspberry Pi is a charitable organization from the UK.  They developed this low cost PC as a means to lower the cost of computer eduction.

We plan to develop, manufacture and distribute an ultra-low-cost computer, for use in teaching computer programming to children. We expect this computer to have many other applications both in the developed and the developing world.
Our first product is about the size of a USB key, and is designed to plug into a TV or be combined with a touch screen for a low cost tablet. The expected price is $25 for a fully-configured system.

Apple was less than thrilled when they heard the news.  They plan to take on Raspberry Pi with the all new Mactini, see below:
