Video: The iPad Was Predicted In 1994
Think modern tablet concepts first came about with the introduction of the iPad? Think again! Wayyy back in 1994, a team of Journalists, designers, technologists and researchers at The Night-Ridder Information Design Lab, worked to create a tablet like interactive digital media platform.
Their goal was to “take today’s newspaper into the electronic age”. They envisioned a portable devise that would weigh under two pounds and resemble a pad of paper. They predicted that we would embrace this “whole new class of computer”…”as a part of our daily lives”… “around the turn of the century”.
Many companies were working to develop this technology, long before the iPad! Check out the video, it’s amazingly spot on!
