Google Announces Android Movie Rentals

Movie rentals are now available on the Android Market. The new service is cloud based and can be accessed through any computer or Android device. Thousands of movies are already available for streaming, with prices starting at $1.99.

To rent a movie, simply head to the Android Market Movies shop, browse for a flick, click to rent it and you’re done!  You’ll have up to a month to begin watching your movie, after which you’ll have 24 hours to finish watching it.

Because the service is cloud based, all your rentals will be instantly available on all your Android devices.  If you want to watch your movie offline, Google’s got you covered.  They have launched a new feature called “Pinning” which allows you to temporarily download a movie to your mobile device.
