Go Shopping Jetsons Style With The Virtual Fitting Room

The way you shop for clothes is about to change.  A Russian company, AR Door has developed a “Virtual Fitting Room”.  Yep, no more trying stuff on, you can now instantly see how you’ll look in those new threads.

The Virtual Fitting Room consists of a Kinect and a large display. Shoppers can simply pick out an outfit, stand infront of the display and see what it’ll look like on them.  They can also use hand gestures to “try on” a different outfit.

The Virtual Fitting Room certainly won’t help you determine what size item to buy, but it can help you quickly decide which suit suits you best.. A prototype is already in use at a TopShop store in Moscow.  Check out the video below, definitely cool stuff!
