Steve Jobs Introduces The iPad 2

Today, Apple’s Co-founder and CEO, Steve Jobs introduced the highly anticipated iPad 2.  The second generation iPad is 33 percent thinner and about 15 percent lighter than it’s predecessor.  The iPad 2 features an ultra fast dual core A5 processor, an HD video camera and a front facing FaceTime camera.

Graphics precessing has increased 9x on the second generation iPad. The screen resolution remains unchanged at 1024×768. Apple has yet to announce how much RAM they have put in the iPad 2.

Like the original iPad, the iPad 2 can run up to 10 hours on a single charge.  The new iPad will be compatible with both AtT&T and Verizon’s 3G networks.  Apple will continue to offer a wifi only model as well.  The iPad 2 goes on sale March 11th. It will be available in two colors, black and white. How much does it cost?  The price points for the iPad 2 are identical to those of the original iPad.
