How To Watch Live TV On Your iPad

Are you a Time Warner subscriber? Are you a couch potato? Do you have an iPad? If so, have I got an app for you! Time Warner just released TWCable TV, a free app that lets you watch live TV on your iPad.

Yes, you now have a TV in every room in your house. There are 32 HD channels available for streaming, including MTV, ABC and Comedy Central. The streaming service will work anywhere within your wireless network.

Not a Time Warner subscriber? El Gato offers a great product called EyeTV. EyeTV lets you stream cable TV from your Mac to an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch. EyeTV streams over wifi and 3G, so you can basically watch TV anywhere!

You can use Eye TV to watch, record and edit TV shows right on your mac. Edited and recorded shows can also be streamed to “idevices”.  The product runs about $200.  Check it out: Amazon Link

If you want to get shady, simply launch Safari and head over to Filmon.com.  They offer Live HD streaming of several popular channels.  They do charge a subscription fee for their service.  No app is needed, Filmon streams content through your idevice’s Safari browser.  There has been a lot of controversy regarding this site.  I’m not sure how legal the service is, so please proceed at your own risk!
