Disney’s “Up” House Magically Comes To Life

Ever Have a child ask you “can that really happen?” Well, the answer is yes! OK, I kid you not, the National Geographic Channel has recreated the house from the Disney Pixar movie “Up” and launched it into the air with big colorful balloons.

The non-animated house is 16′x16′ and 18′ tall. It floated into the air with the help of 300 weather balloons and soared to heights of over 10,000′. The Up house remained up (haha) for about an hour. This amazing reenactment set a new world record for the largest balloon cluster flight ever attempted.

This project was filmed as part of an upcoming television series titled “How Hard Can It Be?”. The series will begin airing this fall on the National Geographic Channel.
