Asus To Release A Sub $250 Netbook

Just when you thought the iPad killed off the netbook.. Asus jumps back in the ring for round two.  According to Digitime’s sources, Asustek Computer (Asus) will unveil a $200-$250 netbook this June.

Not many tech specs were revealed.  The netbook will likely use Google’s Android or Chrome OS operating systems.  Also, since Asus is partnering with Intel, it’s likely the device will use an Intel processor.

Asus will likely release other notebook models in the $499 price range.  These offerings will likely attract those who seek a traditional computer experience instead of a tablet.
