Amazon's Android Appstore Opens For Business

Amazon’s long awaited Appstore for Android is now open for business.  The store launched with 3.800 apps, just a little shy of the 360,000+ apps available on Apple’s Appstore.  Apps can be purchased through either Amazon’s mobile Appstore or “Appstore App”.

Amazon will let their customers test drive an app for 30 minutes before they commit to buying it.  The online retailer will also offer a paid app for free every day.   Amazon’s first free app of the day is the highly anticipated Angry Birds Rio.

Apple, of course isn’t taking kindly to Amazon’s use of the word “Appstore” and well yep, you guessed it, they’re suing them!
