AT&T To Offer Unlimited Mobile To Any Mobile Plan

AT&T is set to roll out an all-you-can eat “Mobile to Any Mobile” calling plan. The new service will launch tomorrow, the same day the Verizon iPhone 4 goes on sale to the public.

The new plan will allow unlimited calling to any mobile number in the US, no matter who the carrier may be.  The plan will be offered to “new and existing AT&T customers with a qualifying voice plan who subscribe to unlimited messaging plans.”

The timing of this service is obvious, AT&T is scared of the Verizon iPhone.  They want to keep their large user base and know they need to offer incentives.

There is so much competition in the smartphone industry.  There is competition amongst carriers, handset manufacturers and OS developers.  Since they are all competing for our business, we the customer will always win.  Get ready for lower priced headsets and cellular rates.  I think limited data, text messages and talk time are soon to be a thing of the past.
