The World’s Friendliest Snowplow


Meet Yuki-taro, a friendly yellow snow goblin from Japan. Equipped with GPS and a pair of cameras, Yuki will gobble up all the snow in your driveway without supervision.  

What about snow drifts you may wonder, not to worry.  As this 900 pound robot clears your driveway, your dreaded snow is converted to ice bricks so that you can build an igloo!

Yuki means snow in Japanese, Taro is a popular boys name.  The device won the Good Design award in 2006.  It is still a prototype. You can expect it to be released in about 5 years with a retail price of about $8,000.
